- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- I've recently graduated from UBC with an MBA and a passion for sustainability. I specialized in strategic management and project management. I live in Kitsilano so would be interested in working in that community. If you have a project or committee in mind, please let me know.
- What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
- Our apartment building recycling is terrible. They only take newspapers, plastics 1 and 2, and paper. I would like to see more pickup options available for other recyclables. Also, composting is another wonderful way to decrease our garbage output. We need to subsidize and educate people on composting.

Welcome to Village Vancouver, Devon! I'll send you an invite to join Kits Village - perhaps this will give you some ideas about what you'd like to become involved in. Speaking of recycling, we have a plastic recycling group in Kits. The next pickup will be in March. We also have canning and seed saving groups, lots of potlucks, do some work around Permaculture, and are always on the lookout for spaces to start new collaborative/community gardens. The best thing to do is to come to a potluck or other gathering and meet people.
