Welcome to VV, Deb!
I hope you can make it to our Meet-Up potluck and seed-sharing get-together next Monday evening. You can come for food, to "borrow" some food and beneficial flowers seeds (free and we don't want them back except as home-grown,home-made food in the fall), or both. Also, if you are out of ideas of what to make or are too tired on Monday, grab some juice for us, or just come as you are. We always have plenty, and we welcome all.
We are also starting a monthly (first Tuesdays) potluck at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House (24th and Main), each focussed on a local project or theme, and maybe a short movie. It will be very relaxed and a networking opportunity. April's will again be a seed-sharing event, where we'll share a few seeds from our locally-adapted, organic seed library. The only thing we ask it that you really try to grow something with the seeds, AND tell us what happened (which can be in the form of of food at a future potluck). (If you understand seed saving, we also take deposits of new seeds each fall.)
Meanwhile, now that you are a member of VV, join the Main Street Neighbourhood. This is "our Village." We share everything and we hope to support each other in whatever passions we each have.
Love your email address and can't wait to meet you.
