Hi David
Welcome to VV. Why don't you join the Dunbar Transition Village (pull down village page). We've got a lot of practical projects going on, including the Dunbar Dollar, an Emergency preparedness group, chickens, bee keeping workshops, a grant proposal to convert chafer beetle infested lawns to productive food gardens and more.
We're really looking for people who want to get things done. Many of us are urban farmers, chicken keepers and learning bee keeping.
Our working group meets once every two weeks or so. Since we're all flex time workers we usually schedule the meetings at midday. If you're interested we could include you on the invite list.
Look forward to meeting soon.
