Daryl,
Maybe we can inspire you to help create a Fairview Village!
Tomorrow night (the Tuesday just after Labour Day), we have a potluck and seed saver's event at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House (24th and Main, click here for for info). Then, likely next week we'll have an Apple picking and applesauce-making event, plus maybe a plum-picking or at least a plum-jam-making event. It is harvest time.
Then, likely in October or early November, we are going to host another Neighbour Savour potluck at Heritage Hall...for 300 people. This is a reprise of the first Neighbour Savour we did with NOWBC three years ago.
Welcome and join us in everything.
Randy
As you can see, we are just beginning to build an on-line community for Village Vancouver, and organize our extensive activities more openly and collaboratively through this site. Please feel free to contribute to a discussion, attend or even enter a new event, join a working group, or even form a Village.
You are located between the Main Street and Kitsilano villages, and feel free to join in activities either place. You are the first VV web site member from Fairview, but we have not even widely announced the site to the community of participants in past VV activities.
I hope to see you at a VV activity soon.
Randy
