- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- I'd be interested in helping run education. I am a nurse and do alot of education with my patients as it is and I think it is integral for individuals to have the education and resources in order to make changes in the their daily lives towards healthy, sustainable living...I love cooking and gardening as well.
- What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
- I just moved to Vancouver recently and am not 100% sure on this, but I am seeing alot more community gardens sprout up around the city which is really nice to see. I also heard about the compost/scrap collection in the West End and I finally received my compost bin which I am really excited about! I haven't had a chance to go to any of the Farmers Markets but I'm sure the more get out there I will develop some more ideas of sustainability here in my neighborhood.
