- All of the above!
- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- I would love to learn more and participate more with urban gardening and urban sustainability. Anyway I can assist I would love to participate.
As for what I bring - I bring a lot of enthusiam! I usually can find other volunteers when I have an event to put together - I work in the DTES and the building I work at has a community garden which is why I am getting involved more with urban agriculture in the city
- What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
- I travelled N. America for a couple years checking out sustainable farms in the city along the way and I do believe that it is needed to switch our main method of energy consumption (buildings) to a sustainable environment. I do also believe that food is a right for everyone and we have more than enough room to grow what we need and more if planted and landscaped more responsibly.
