Anne,
Join us tomorrow evening, Tuesday 5 March, for our potluck at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House. We are holding a vegetable fermentation workshop. Read more about the event by clicking here.
The Main Street Neighbourhood is your local "village" of Village Vancouver. This is a smaller and more local group that has its own web page and geographically narrower set of members on this site. To find out what is happening specifically in your neighbourhood, joining this subgroup will put you on the list to get very occasional reminders of local events. Click here to go to the Main Street 'Hood (which you can also find by clicking on Villages above in the menu bar), and select "Join" at the top right.
We will also be doing much more this spring, including planting workshops for indoor and outdoor gardening, bicycle repair sessions, sewing classes, and just about anything else you'd like to see happen.
Please note also that Main Street Neighbourhood has a Seed Library from which you can "borrow" just about any variety of food and beneficial flower seeds, over a hundred different plants and varieties. By "borrow," I mean you absolutely don't return the seeds, except maybe by seed-saving from the vegetables you grow for yourself. All seeds are free!
