There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more.     Where is the Mount Pleasant Food Forest?  

    VV has applied (again) to take over a city-owned site at 23rd and Main, and--if approved--we plan to install a foot forest in part of the that site.  We'll let you know.

    would be very interested in having a look at both sites and would have abundant energy to rake up and bag leaves to compost as the productivity o fthe soil depends so much on the mineral and organic matter being digested and recycled by mycorhizza,beetles,flora ,fauna,etc and autumn is the ideal time to feed the soil do we need to set up windrows or raised beds,how close is the water table to the surface,what prefers to grow there,is it clay,peat,sand.etc read hidden forest by luoma,great book
