In which Vancouver neighbourhood or other community do you live?
Other (indicate below)
If you don't live in Vancouver or are in another neighbourhood or community we did not list, please tell us where home is.
Moving to Vancouver this July
Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...
Urban homesteading, potlucks, outreach, raised bed gardening, backyard chickens, farmers markets, community building etc!
There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
Looking to learn all I can about working my little piece of land via gardening, chickens etc.. Would love to get involved with local markets, engaging kids to learn to love gardening, making and growing more of our own food...I am a 15 year, very successful entrepreneur from the baby retail world, having taken a home based business and turning it into $30 million dollars and 7 stores! I bring passion, mad biz skills and a love for all that is living closer to the land and respecting the earth!
I am hoping to connect with like minded people who want to live and eat well, raise and grow their own food and create a community of like minded souls...
What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
Not sure yet, moving there this summer!

Hi Leah
Welcome to VV. I see you've just joined the Dunbar group. Are you planning to move to this area?
We've got a lot of urban farmers (i've got chickens), and other things going on here.
I'd be interested to hear more about what you're keen on doing and how you came to know about transition.
Cheers.
Ann
