Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Ann Pacey (See Emergency Preparedness Group here on VV) presented an insightful talk to a local group of North Shore neighbours mainly from Lower Lonsdale, Capilano and Lynn Valley areas. Her presentation and the model seems so effective and can be easily implemented! It got me thinking about how to incorporate this for strata buildings and rental apartment buildings - built in communities that should be able to thrive in emergencies with a little focused advanced planning. I encourage other groups to review Ann's handouts that are posted online here and find out how emergency prep has been implemented in the Dunbar area. Thanks again Kathryn and the folks at Quayside Village for hosting this.
