Free windows! I have a pile of windows left over from greenhouse / cold frame building projects. Build your own cold frame and or greenhouse.
I have half a yard of soil in the back of my truck. Need to get it gone! Happy to deliver it to your Cedar Cottage area curb for $25 :)
Hi All,
The Neighbourhood Small Grants are back again, and the deadline for applications (a very simple 2 pager) for the Cedar Cottage neighbourhood is April 30th. Check it out at http://cedarcottage.org/nsg.html
Looking forward to exciting projects emerging!
Cheers,
Meredith
I am looking for people who are interested in helping with either the food forest at Cedar Cottage garden and/or the garden seedsaving project.
Hello everyone!
Sending love, hugs and hellos to my fellow villagers. I wanted to share that tonight a dozen of us met at Kensington Library to discuss Food Security in the Cedar Cottage Trout Lake 'hood and it was a very fun wonderful night! There will be more activity coming from this group this year and I am excited - hope to cross paths soon :) http://tlccfoodsecurity.blogspot.com/
Hoping that a few people living in the Cedar Cottage area join our seed saving collective for 2012. We are down to 2 members in our core group and this will severely limit our ability to hold workshops (for the benefit of the public) and to continue growing out our available seed stock. Please email me if you are interested in helping out. Thanks.
Hello everyone,
I hope you are enjoying this lovely "end of summer" sunshine. The KCC Neighbour Newspaper Committee is now working on the October edition of the paper.
In the spirit of Vancouver 125, we are seeking stories with a focus on local history, along with other rich anecdotes about people, events and places in Kensington Cedar Cottage.
Please submit articles of approximately 300 words along with photos if possible by September 23rd to ccnh@cedarcottage.org or drop off at the Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House, 4065 Victoria Drive.
For more information or if you would like to support us by buying an Ad please call Kelly at 604 874-4231.
³The KCC Neighbour: We Are a community newspaper by and for people living in the Kensington/Cedar Cottage community. Our community paper has printed 14 Editions and we have distributed each Edition to 12000 households in the Kensington/Cedar Cottage. We are excited about our 15th Edition coming out
soon. For more information on the KCC Neighbour, visit

The blueberries are ready and wondering if anyone in my village is interested in going out for a couple of hours (preferably arriving at 10 am at the farm) for an old-fashioned blueberry u-pick. DFG Blueberries has been a blueberry farm bearing the title organic, since 1993! I can offer a carpool ride (max. 3 seats available). We could also do veg.lunch if interested. Email me before the weekend. Thanks.
