Hey Mel, our monthly Kits Village potluck supper is on Sunday, Jan 9th. at 5.30pm in the Billy Bishop Lounge Spitfire Room. We usually bring vegetarian food but feel free to be different; hopefully there will be a good crowd and at 7pm a group have a Celtic music sessun so I invited them to come earlier and join in our potluck too. It would be great to see you again and chat about VV activities.

I'd forgotten about my post! Good to hear from you and yes VV is really taking off with a strong Kits contingent. Ross, our fearless leader, lives opposite the Billy Bishop Legion on Laburnum and I've made a proposal to the Billy about our Community Garden Group keeping their landscaping in order and planting some foodstuffs. We had space at Kits Neighbourhood House but they are rebuilding so we need to find new spots to garden.

Oh those health issues - had a few myself but "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Who said that? There may be some truth to it but would rather not have been through cancer - I'm fine just missing a couple of bits; heart disease - 4 stents in 3 arteries and keep forgetting to exercise more as in walking. If my body moved as much as my motor mouth I could run marathons!
Trust you have no lasting debilitating effects from your issues. I recall that you were a candidate for office - was that in the last P. election? It's been suggested to me by a few folks that I should run for office because I am to them so knowledgeable about political affairs. I am thinking about it OR going to Bhutan to teach for a year or more. http://www.bhutancanada.com/HOME.html
I suspect they do not tell you the nitty gritty though - I need to investigate more, perhaps apply and see if accepted first. I love adventure and a challenge; not sure about the rain though. If I was a politician could wangle a visit there perhaps -:), now that's an idea!
