I am really interested in the transition movement and was part of activities in Ottawa where I used to live, as well as having visited and been inspired by Totnes!
Welcome to VV. Why don't you join the Dunbar Transition Group. We've had a very active last year although this summer was quiet as several of our key people were heavily involved in the urban farming movement and didn't have much time.
As you have experience in Transition, I was wondering if you'd like to get involved in the Dunbar working group? We're looking for several new members and would be very interested in having you participate.
This year we'll be launching the Dunbar Dollar, Vancouver's first local currency. We'll also be organizing monthly potlucks, workshops, meetups, etc.
Our next event is the Dunbar Harvest Festival next Saturday. We'll be at the 18th and Dunbar area, and are looking for volunteers if you're interested.
