You are in luck, though, as VV founder Ross Moster has already started a Village in Kits Point, which I hope is not far for you. His/your Village, and all the local activities associated with it a... Village membership is moderated to protect privacy and ensure its all stays local.
In reply to your question, you may post articles of interest under the tab About and pull-down sub-tab News & Stories, and then click "Add a Blog Post" in the upper right next to your name. Write a title and paste in anything you have. There is a very simple Real Text or full HTML editor, so you can include photos or whatever you have. We'd love to read what you created, and we are also looking for ways to feature, highlight, and otherwise promote and reward the great ideas and writing of our members.
Hello,
Please join the Kitsilano Village group under "Villages" at the top menu - I'm eager to get a dozen or so of us there and then see if we might plan some events to connect face-to-face.

trafifth.wordpress.com - is the blog I set up about my view/s from Trafalgar & Fifth - the corner where I live in the Trafalgar Housing Coop.
I read your piece on Transition Towns in Briarpatch when it first came out and enjoyed it. At the time, you mentioned that there was just one official
initiative; now there are 13. VV goes back to early 2008 ('07 if you count the "thinking/designing stage"), but we took our time in applying for official status. (Had we applied right away, I think we would've been the 1st or 2nd initiative.)
Did you see that KIts Transition Village is having a neighbourhood potluck
on the 11th? Details on our page. Hope you can make it!
Hi, We're going to have another Kitsilano Village potluck on Sunday, July 11 5-8pm. Location tba - might be a picnic. Stay tuned to Kitsilano Village Group for details. (If you're not a member of Kitsilano Village group, do join so you're in the loop. Mary maryinvancouver@gmail.com

As you can see, we are just beginning to build an on-line community for Village Vancouver, and organize our extensive activities more openly and collaboratively through this site. Please feel free to contribute to a discussion, attend or even enter a new event, join a working group, or even form a Village.
