Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

I think it would be fun to organize a day where people who either have a Chicken Coop or are interested in buying or building a Coop can get a list of some  local Chicken Coop owners who would be willing to  open up their Coops for new comers to get some ideas and to share some knowledge for one day?
"Tour De VanCoopVer"
Maybe in August?

Hi Richard,

Whether or not someone agrees or disagrees with postings from other site members, all responses to postings are expected to be respectful, civil, and conducive to furthering constructive dialogue.

Calling something " a really stupid idea" is a totally inappropriate response on this site, as is "I'll be the one laughing when the next message your clique publishes is 'my birds are sick' and ' so are mine' and 'where did these bugs come from' or 'my bird is dieing'."

I ask that you not post anything like this in the future.

Thank you.
Ross
aaarrgggh, sorry about the delay in replying Robert, am most disorganised at the mo. Would love to take you up on the offer of paint but maybe in August once life is a bit calmer, thanks
Check out Portland's and Seattle's Tours de Coops. They've been doing this for years, and have put together simple tour booklets for sale at local stores and with raffle prizes (including a free coop!). The incredible diversity of coops designed and built in these two cities is awesome, and several inspiring pictures grace the two website links above. (Sorry, but few would meet Vancouver's strict building code specifications.)

Portland's tour is in two weeks (see attached). Hop on Amtrak and go see for yourself!
