Join us at the Chicken Village this Sunday (w/updated link)

We're going to have a little chicken village within VV's Demo Sustainable Village (http://www.villagevancouver.ca/events/imagining-your-ideal-neighbou...) at Main St. Car Free Day -- 13th and Main, this Sunday, June 15th - a place where folks (and chickens) can meet, hang out, share info, tell stories, and also potentially stimulate interest in seeing the city allow for more chickens.

As always, Duncan will have a coop, chickens and information there, and it's a good opportunity to get friends signed up for the chicken page and linked into the chicken community.

There's some room for other folks to display. If you're interested, please contact me (ross@villagevancouver.ca). Other chickens are welcome -- we recommend bringing your humans with you -- and Duncan has an extra enclosure if someone wants to use it.

We also going to have a beekeeping village nearby with a seed pollinator library, info on the Pollinator Project, info on our pollinator related Permaculture projects, beekeepers Brian Campbell and Lori Weidenhammer will be present, etc.

P.S. The demo village is a large undertaking - about 25 tents plus open space this year of community projects. Village has no paid staff and needs lots of volunteers to help transport, setup, at the booths, and breakdown. If you like what we're doing and can help...volunteer@villagevancouver.ca.
