Our coop is 99% done.  But waiting for the straw and feed order next week before getting the birds.  We live in hastings-sunrise village...and our coop is really CUTE. 

I hope by June we'll know what we're doing!  You're welcome to include us.

Hi Laura, Here are the dates I'm thinking:

 

Tuesday, June 7 evening (5 - 7 p.m.)
Saturday, June 4 afternoon (3 - 5 p.m.)

Thursday, June 16 evening (5 - 7 p.m.)

Hi Colleen,

 

I'm in the same boat as Leanne - coop is 95% finished and also waiting for feed/straw before getting birds.  It's a cute little A-frame coop in a small backyard in East Van.

I'm also having a baby in June (due June 16th), so depending upon how things are going I'd be game - I could be a backup, or could confirm with you on the day maybe.  You could call me closer to then 778-994-7967.

So many East Van coops - I love it!

 

It looks like the date will be June 7 in the evening. It would be great to have you as backup. I'll call you closer to and let you know how things are going. Good luck! By the way, we've been ordering feed and straw through Mark's Pet Stop on Commercial Drive, that way we don't have to go all the way to Langley. Mark has been very helpful.

So far, no baby yet, and 3 happy hens to show off - let me know if you'd like to bring a bunch of folks by tomorrow night - I'm game!  (Lakewood & 2nd - conveniently on a bike route!).  Wish I could join you - I really miss my bike these days (belly makes pedaling kinda hard.....).
