Wow, lots of great ideas and activities emerging! Last year, we filled 6 tents and a bunch of open space - it looks like this time will be even bigger. And I love adding the workshop component - we'll be sure to set aside a tent and chairs for that.
A reminder: we're also looking for general volunteers who can help with setup, breakdown, answering questions, etc. and A FEW MORE TENTS.
Anyone want to bring some straw bales (to use as chairs)?
I will bring the Main Street Neighbourhood Seed Library and perhaps a boatload of seedlings to give away (or sell). Maybe we could paint our big new 12' x 6' VV banner that day?!
I will also bring a demonstration R22 house wall section to show Passive House energy efficiency design and a City of Vancouver Rain Barrel to demonstrate its use.
Could we figure out any way to build a notional raised bed garden in our village? Maybe several of Philip's HomeGardens would suffice. (They could just be wheeled over!)
Also, is there any way we could avail ourselves of power (or create our own)? If we know our location, we could ask a local merchant for a hook-up? It might be nice to show a video about Transition on a loop.
