Village Vancouver is partnering with the False Creek Watershed Society to promote the daylighting and restoration of surface water flows throughout the city, helping to bring clean water to our oceans, reconnecting critical ecological and migratory pathways, and reinstating a captivating and sustainable recreational outlet.

Here downloadable from this link is a whole how-to about rain garden design and construction. Nothing is more important in terms of a permaculture renewal, resilience, and sustainability in the Rain City.

Stephanie St. Loe - I agree that we should be doing more Rain Gardens. Here are two links. Also join the False Creek Watershed FB page and St George's Blueway and these things sometimes get discussed. Hope that helps.

Hello,

I'm contemplating building a rain garden. Anyone done one before?

Cheers
