Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
I am leading a project at my housing co-op to build some tumbling composters and I wonder if anyone else would like to build one (or more). The main hurdle to overcome is making the trip out to Abbotsford to buy some plastic drums. The rest of the materials can be purchased from Home Depot. I will post something about that soon, but for now you can view the composter design demonstration at http://dixiegrilling.com/ - just scroll to the bottom of the page. If anyone would like to build one of these for your own use, we might consider combining forces to make it easier... in which case you can contact me at cabot@telus.net
For the really curious, I have attached a copy of the composter plans and a spreadsheet pricing out the materials. One composter will cost + or - $100, depending on how many we make.
