It was great meeting everyone. Looking forward to the next event.
More information for people who were enquiring about co-ops: http://www.chf.bc.ca/about-co-op-housing There's a link there to find co-ops with open waiting lists, including ours, we've just opened our waiting list for three bedroom units http://www.phhc.ca
And the farmers who delivers pastured meat are Gigi and Rainer Krumsiek from Big Bear Ranch http://www.bigbearranch.com/ They deliver to the Lower Mainland about every two months, they were just here on Sunday. I could arrange a delivery point at my co-op, Pacific Heights, Pacific & Burrard.
Excellent! Thank you, Peter! :-)
See you there. It's informal. Drop in when you get there. We have the room until 9 pm.
Thanks for this! I'm planning to come but will probably be late due to work. That day's job will be a long one. Sorry I have such a hard time getting to events that start early in the evenings. I try to get there but often fail to make it in time. But it's never for lack of enthusiasm about being there. Thank you so much for having these, Peter. :-)
I certainly could.
Thanks Randy. Do you want to give a little schpiel on the Village Seed Library initiative. -Peter
I might be able to attend the beginning of the potluck, and perhaps bring over the Village Seed Library on my electric scooter. It's getting to be planting time, and we now have several dozen new West Coast Seed packets to share.
There is a Heritage Vancouver meeting in the West End at 7:00 to discuss saving the VanDusen Educational Centre, a botany and permaculture training facility in the woods in the the NW corner of the park. Apparently there is a Parks' rule that an older building must be ripped down upon the construction of each new one. I want to get to as much of that meeting as possible. It's a great facility barely 40 years old, in perfect shape, and built by an award-winning architect.
So, eat fast, share seeds, and run? Maybe the Seed Library could stay for later pickup, or go home with someone like Ross, if he attends.
