Join us for a free educational work party to kick off the 2015-17 Aberthau Garden Project, hosted by Village Vancouver.
Building on our successful April 18th blitz where we built an herb spiral and hugelkultur, we'll be focusing on doing more planting and completing the paths.
There’s room for up to 25 folks. All levels if experience welcome – we teach you as we go along.
RSVP on the event post or to Ross at ross@villagevancouver.ca.
The blitz is generously supported by a Greenest City Neighbourhood Small Grant from the Vancouver Foundation and the City of Vancouver, and administered by Kits Neighbourhood House.

We look forward to seeing you at the blitz tomorrow at Aberthau Mansion (West Pt. Grey Community Centre.)
4397 W 2nd Ave. (near Trimble)
If you're coming by bus -- there's bus service to 4th and NW Marine Dr. It's about a 10 minute walk from there along NW Marine Dr. (Trimble and 4th to NW Marine Dr. is another option, though I'm not sure if the bus stops there or not.)
Rain or shine - it's supposed to be sunny out! - we'll be starting at 10 sharp. We'll be doing some more planting and finishing the paths.
You can enter the garden from Marine. It's on the grassy area just off of Marine, about 100 ft. north of Aberthau Mansion.
This is an outside, hands on event, so dress accordingly and wear clothes you're comfortable working in. Please bring your own lunch.
If you have any hand tools or shovels, please bring them if you're able to and let me know that you are, so I can assess how many tools we'll have. (If you can't bring anything, no worries.) Bring garden gloves if you'd like to.
If your plans have changed and you aren't coming, let me know.
Cheers, and see you tomorrow!
Ross
