For new (or always improving) vegetable gardeners, this course will cover the basics on what are the best veggies to grow in our climate, and how to successfully get started. Janis will discuss which plants should be purchased as starts (small potted plants), which should be grown from seed, and when they should be planted. Successful seed growing tips will include soils, how to prepare and sow the seeds, hardening off and transplanting seedlings.
