An Afternoon at the Library: Lots More Then Books!

Join us for the Vancouver premier of La Huerta de la Esquina (The Corner Veggie Garden). Through visits to community gardens and other urban agriculture projects in Spain, Berlin, and Vancouver (including Kitsilano Community Garden, and Cottonwood Community Garden in Strathcona), La Huerta de la Esquina shows how citizens and urban gardens are helping to solve problems related to physical and mental health issues, social integration, and environmental pollution in cities.
After the screening, filmmakers Manuel Mateo Rodenas and Estefania Bravo Roman will join us via skype from Spain for a brief Q&A session.
