With more than 150 student projects conducted in collaboration with more than ten different faculties and schools, the UBC Farm generates much needed information about food system science, farming technologies,community engagement and environmental stewardship while giving students the opportunity to learn in a unique and increasingly rare hands-on way.
Organized by the UBC Sustainability Ambassadors, a University Sustainability Initiative program that promotes and develops sustainability education for UBC students, the Symposium showcases the unique learning experience offered at the UBC Farm.

What you can expect
- Fascinating presentations by undergraduate and graduate students, professors, researchers, Practicum of Sustainable Agriculture alumni and engaged community members around topics ranging from aboriginal landbased initatives, environmental design and landscape architecture, forest stewardship and agroforestry, and sustainable agriculture.
- Tea, coffee and a tasty local lunch (by suggested donation of $3)
- Fellow UBC Farm supporters, student and faculty researchers, community farmers, practicum alumni and other interesting folks with whom to share your curiosty for food sustainability!
