How can community members and professionals transform the way we travel to deal with global warming and the end of cheap oil? We will explore case studies of cities that have quickly gone from gridlock to transit and cycling meccas, and focus on the basic principles of sustainable transportation needed to understand these success stories.
Course Highlights
• Learn how cycling, pedestrian infrastructure and transit can work together
• Outstanding examples from Bogota, Columbia to Zurich, Switzerland and Portland, Oregon
• Understand planning basics such as the elasticity of traffic volume and how transit priority works
