This is an in-depth hands-on program that teaches the basics of backyard and small-scale beekeeping. Over the eight 3-hour sessions you will acquire the skills and confidence to get started in beekeeping. The cost is only $300 and includes all course materials. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on instruction and most course days include a visit to our two nearby hives.
Designed for those with sustainability in mind. Suitable for hobbyists and the serious urban farmer. Throughout each class emphasis will be on working with and understanding bee biology and behaviour, pest and disease cycles and the use of organic control methods.
The $300 cost includes all course materials. Class size is kept small and limited to 12 participants. For a more compressed intensive schedule see our other programs on the Homesteader's Emporium calendar. For information on other Bee School locations or sections, please contact the instructor Brian Campbell at blessedbeefarm.1@gmail.com or visit http://thebeeschool.wordpress.com
We can accept cash or cheque made out to Blessed Bee Farm
