Event Description

How much do we know about nature and food in our own backyard? Join us for this engaging walk around local food assets in the Strathcona Neighbourhood with stops that include Cottonwood Community Garden, Village Vancouver’s permaculture plot and the Strathcona Community Centre.

By donation. Suggested donation $5-10, no one turned away for lack of funds. Please pre-register.

Part of VV's Summer 2014 Cultivating Food, Cultivating Community Series at SCC. Other offerings: Introduction to Canning (Tues, July 22) and Native Edibles (Tues, July 15).

We'll meet on Tuesday at Cottonwood's east entrance, near the corner of Raymur and Malkin, just opposite the Vancouver Animal Shelter at 6:30 pm.
