Event Description

Learn to make your own fermented vegetables. In this Village Vancouver workshop, we will make a seasonal creation of "Spring Slaw". Participants will be fully active in creating the slaw, and take home a jar with their own customized spice mixture. Participants should bring any of the following items that they can: cutting board, large knife, kitchen scissors, large bowl or tub, wide-mouth jar and lid. Wear clothes that you don't mind preparing food in.

Advance registration advised: #57224 Strathcona Community Centre 604.713.1838 or Slaw (http://ca.apm.activecommunities.com/vancouver/Activity_Search/spring-slaw-fermented-vegetables/52231) or in person. Registration is "pay what you can" with a suggested fee of $15, including materials. If not paying the suggested fee, please register over the phone or in person. 50% Subsidies are also available to low income residents of Vancouver with a Leisure Access Card.
