Event Description

Take a break from holiday craziness and join your neighbours for a full pasta dinner with marinara or pesto sauce, salad, and garlic bread.  Bring a drink of your choice.

Then enjoy a new 80-minute Transition-focussed movie on our crazy economy and the debt that feeds it.  It is titled "The Automatic Earth: A Century of Challenge" and was created by Nicole Foss.

Carol and Rick are hosting, in Douglas Park (just west of Cambie on 22nd Ave), AND THE DATE IS UP TO YOU: early evening next Thursday (16th), Friday (17th), or Sunday (19th).

Click this link, http://doodle.com/exz5pd3xbyh5burt, and tell us when you could make it.

Democratic scheduling comes to VV!

AND 6 out of 7 votes (using a proportional voting system) has decided for Friday, leaving us with an 86% success rate.

If you can't make it this month, we are committed to a second showing in January.

For more information on this film, read a recent interview with Nicole Foss at http://www.countercurrents.org/baker021110.htm or watch her on the second half of the Keiser Report at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJtbxrk_v7c.
