Friday, June 15, 2012 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at City Studio (1800 Spyglass Place, Vancouver [Under the Cambie Bridge on the south side of False Creek]).
The Summer Semester in Dialogue has been working on projects exploring various aspects of sustainable food systems. Join us for this exhibition to showcase the work with students, SFU faculty and city leaders to engage in dialogue about the future of sustainable food systems. Topics will include:
Schoolyard Gardens
Creating Careers in Local Food
Neighborhood Food Networks
Communicating a Food Energy Descent Action Plan
Connecting Local Producers with Local Consumers
And more!
These projects are linked to a FEDAP (Food Energy Descent Action Plan) for Vancouver, which emphasizes how reduced energy use and sustainable food production can be used to transition into ecological sustainability, community resiliency, and social well-being.
