WHAT TO EXPECT
Starting at the Riley Park Community Garden on the edge of Queen Elizabeth Park, Madame Beespeaker will reveal the magical relationships between people, plants, and bees. Learn about local initiatives to improve food security and community engagement, as well as Why and How you can save the bees. Bring your walking shoes because we will stroll over to Mountain View Cemetery and finally arrive in Fraserhood, a changing neighbourhood with old favourites and fresh tastes.
The tour will end at a local eatery for light refreshments and deeper conversations. Stay as long as you wish! Past Relocal attendees share that these chats are their favourite way to connect with like-minded people and learn about what's happening in the city.
WHAT TO KNOW
We will be walking outdoors for 2-3 hours to explore the Riley Park neighbourhood. While the walking pace will be gentle, weather conditions may vary throughout the afternoon, so please dress appropriately for the event.
Light refreshments will be served at our final stop. If you would like to purchase additional food or merchandise in the neighbourhood, we recommend bringing cash as some small businesses accept cash only.
