Event Description

A reminder that the Province is seeking input on legislation to control the cosmetic use of pesticides. I encourage you to provide feedback and especially to ask that all cosmetic use of products containing 2,4-D and 2,4-5-T (i.e Agent Orange chemicals which are found in most weed killers) be banned for use by both property owners and lawn care service providers. Feedback can be provided until Feb 15 at:

It is totally unnecessary to be using any colourants or chemicals in weed control when there are so many natural ways of controlling bugs and pests that eat our greens. Planting calendula, garlic, marigolds, nasturtiums in the garden selectively takes care of any pests. a mixture of tobacco and vinegar cocktail spray on the grass works also.
