Event Description

Got some day time free between Monday and Wednesday October 25-27?

If your working time is flexible, there is a free three-day program at the new Vancouver Convention Centre with energy conservation and green economy presentations and workshops on all three days. You must pre-register by Tuesday, October 19, and you can choose any session or collection of sessions that interest you. A few are already full or by invitation only (I've applied for one), but most choices are still open and very appealing.

A tiny warning: this is a serious conference with massive organizational costs, and apparently lots of free food and beverages. Although it is totally free for everything, if you register, you must guarantee your attendance for the one or more talks that you sign up to attend. You must leave a credit card number with a $100 penalty applied if you fail to attend anything.

From the web site here:
The Power Smart Forum is BC’s leading energy conservation conference, attracting delegates, speakers and industry experts from across North America.

This year, both the 2010 Power Smart Excellence Awards & Forum take place October 25 – 27 at the award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre. Join us for three information-packed days including plenary, breakout and workshop sessions focused on this year’s theme: Building the Green Economy.
