Event Description

It can be easy to forget about the wealth of food that grows all around us. Come out and learn about edible plants that call our region home. Lori Snyder from the Metis Nation will discuss how to identify and harvest wild, edible, and medicinal plants in an ethical way. Weather permitting, most of the workshop will be outside. Please wear comfortable walking shoes

$25. Please pre-register. 50% Subsidies on the non-materials portion of the workshop fee are available to low income residents of Vancouver with a Leisure Access Card. For details on how to apply, please contact Strathcona CC or Leisure Access Program.

Part of VV's Summer 2014 Cultivating Food, Cultivating Community Series at SCC. Other offerings: Introduction to Canning (Tues, July 22) and Strathcona Food Earthwalk (Tues, July 29).
