Event Description
In this Village Vancouver workshop, you'll learn to culture your own fermented tonic milk kefir (a sour yogurt-like beverage) followed by water kefir (a home-made fruit "soda pop"). You'll get to sample the finished product, and take home your own kefir starter grains with printed instructions for both milk and water kefir. Bring two small, leak-proof jars for your grains. Instructor: Alyssa Kohlman.
Registration: Strathcona Community Centre #37005 (604.713.1838 or Kefir or in person). Registration is "pay what you can" with a suggested fee of $20, including materials. If not paying the suggested fee, please register over the phone or in person. Register by Feb 28.
