Event Description

This free festival will include art, music, games, food, and activities for the community. We will have a multicultural main stage with a line-up of local and culturally diverse entertainers and musicians—as well as art activities for children, adults, and youth to partake in. All activities are free! Come listen to music, dance, learn, and make and take some great ART home with you!

-Slam Poetry and Spoken Word

-Reggae

-Folk music

-Jazz and fiddle

-Bangladeshi, Vietnamese, Tamil, and Tai Chi Dancers

PARTICIPATORY DEMONSTARTIONS:

-Yoga

-Spin City Hula Hooping

-Interpretive dance

-Capoeria
-Poi
-Healing Touch

ARTS ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES for children, youth, adults

-Jewelery making with local artist Heather Mandin, from Parts by Heather
- Button Making with Regional Assembly of Text

- Canvas Painting with local artist, Bo Zhang

- Children’s Mural Art with Timo

- Yolkie eggs

- Felt Art

- Origami and Japanese crafts

- Vietnamese straw fish keychains

-“My Canada” Poster Making

- Hand Knitting all day workshops

- Village Vancouver demonstrations

 

OTHER THINGS NOT TO MISS AT THE FESTIVAL:

Food (Tamil food, hot dogs and pizza, cotton candy)
