In this Village Vancouver ElderGreens workshop with Alyssa Kohlman from Fermentoring, you'll learn to make quiche from scratch. Tips and recipe variations, and all ingredients will be provided. From 4-5, we'll prepare at least two varieties of Quiche (at least one will be vegetarian) and share recipes and stories. While the Quiche is cooking from 5-6 pm, you can visit beautiful Cottonwood Community Garden (located next to the fieldhouse) or learn about gardening and permaculture opportunities with Village Vancouver this year. At 6, we'll reassemble and enjoy what we've made!
You're welcome to bring any of the following items, if you wish: cutting board, knife, bowl or tub. Wear clothes you don't mind preparing food in.
Adults and families with children 10 years and older are welcome. All minors must be accompanied by a caregiver. We'll have a Community Seed Library present - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds.
Registration required. Limited space. (Walkins OK, if room.) Register here (http://www.villagevancouver.ca/events/learn-to-make-quiche-1) or by email: ross@villagevancouver.ca. By donation ($0 - $10), plus a $7 materials fee. Free for Seniors (50 and over).
