Learn about “mixer mortgages” and co-ownership agreements

I am organizing an event on the evening of Tuesday, September 11 that I think might be of interest to members of Village Vancouver who are interested in intentional community.

The event is about "mixer mortgages." Mixer mortgages are type of mortgage offered by Vancity credit union that make it easier for non-related people to buy a house together. I have no affiliation with Vancity (except for being a member), but since this housing option interests me, I have arranged for one of Vancity's mortgage managers (Ryan McKinley) to give a free talk and answer questions about how mixer mortgages work. Getting a mixer mortgage requires a legal co-ownership agreement, so I have also asked a lawyer that Vancity refers mixer mortgage clients to, to come talk and answer questions about co-ownership agreements. The lawyer is Mark Braeder of the Stewart-Aulinger firm.
