Event Description

The Kits Village Recycling Depot is resuming! Our free October depot is tomorrow night (Thursday, October 15) from 6-7 pm at KIts Community Centre.

To ensure your safety and ours, and to conform with various COVID-19 safety guidelines (City of Vancouver, Park Board, Community Centres, Vancouver Foundation Neighbourhood Small Grant, and Village Vancouver) we're following these protocols:
Pre-registration is required. RSVP to kitsrecycling@villagevancouver.ca. If you're not feeling well, please stay home! All participants will be asked to confirm that they're not sick at the depot.
Sort your stuff before you come to the depot, so as to minimize your time there. (See the updates below. There are some new categories and some clarifications.) Please wear a mask. If you need one, let us know and we'll bring one for you. (We'll be wearing masks as well.) If someone is using the depot when you arrive, line up in the pathway next to the wall, and practice social distancing (at least 2 meters or 6 ft.) at all times.
Please wait until we give you the go ahead before proceeding to the bag area.
Before putting your recyclables in the appropriate bags, use the on-site hand sanitizer and sign in. Avoid touching the bags as much as possible. We'll be using our new bag holders, so this should be fairly easy. Bags will be clearly marked, and info will be on hand re: where to put items which folks typically have questions about.
Bleach wipes will also be available.
When you're finished, please exit via the west side of the area (the area closest to the parking area), so as to minimize contact with anyone who may be waiting to use the depot.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
