Event Description

Learn how to can and preserve some of the local, seasonal bounty which surrounds us at this time of the year. Participants in this hands-on workshop with Caitlin Dorward will learn safe techniques using the boiling water bath method, and will be able to take home a jar or two of what we make.

VV will have a seed library present - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds. (Please come a little early.)
Free or by donation, plus a $6 fee to cover the cost of materials. Please pre-register. Maximum 12 participants.

Update: As of 9 am Monday morning, 9 people have registered, so there's room for 3 more. Registration will close at 2pm on Tuesday, so that we have adequate time to get food for the workshop. (Please note that we can't hold space for "maybes". If you're a maybe and would like to attend, you should change your registration to "attending" while there is still room.) If you'd like to register after that, please contact Ross at ross.wenfn@gmail.com and we might be able to accommodate you if there's still room.
