In Praise of Our Seed Savers: Celebrating the International Year of Biodiversity (2010)
Sunday, October 24, 12:30 pm, Fireside Room, Hewett Centre
Presenter: David Rain, Unitarian Service Committee
Drawing on examples from USC’s internationally-recognized Seeds of Survival program, David will touch on the vital importance of seeds to our world’s food system, and farmers’ role in acting as nurturers and custodians of our world’s food crop genetic heritage. Forum participants will also be invited to share their own seed stories and food stories as part of the discussions.
