Event Description

Interested in learning to make your own BEER at home?

Learn to make your own beer and also harness the power of plants!

Join guest instructor Cedana Bourne in this ‘spirited’herbal beer-making workshop!

She will be sharing a fascinating history about beer. From it’s roots as a healing tonic, her beer-making recipes include herbs (other than hops!) and roots.

This class includes recipes, information, resources for home-brewing and of course tasting!

She will be using a partial-malt technique, perfect for beginner to intermediate brewers.

We’ll also be tasting and learning to make malt vinegar- a delicious by-product of having an abundance of beer!

* Please bring a potluck item and label what’s in it! We’re going to break for a nibble.

As this class is an intro to making herbal beer, we are of course going to have to bottle it! We’ll announce a bottling party date so that you can participate and taste the goods when the beer is ready to bottle.

(Note longer class time then our other classes. When you’re on beer time, things just takes longer!)
