Event Description

With the bounty of summer here, now is the time to brush up on your canning skills! Get ready for the canning season with this three-hour, hands-on Village Vancouver workshop suitable for beginners or those needing to refresh their canning skills. We will cover all the basics of boiling water bath canning and make jam and pickles together. All materials are provided; participants take home a jar of jam and handout covering all material presented in the workshop. Instructor: Caitlin Dorward.

Cost: "Pay what you can" with a suggested fee of $25, including materials. If not paying the suggested fee, please register over the phone or in person. 50% subsidies are also available to low income residents of Vancouver with a Leisure Access Card.
