Event Description

Free bee film screenings at the TELUS World of Science!
Saving The Life Keepers - The new science of sustainable beekeeping.
As part of Green Month, the documentary, SAVING THE LIFE KEEPERS from MONDE FILMS will be screened at Science World in Vancouver at 2PM every day, until May 22, 2014. The screenings at the Science Theatre are free with your TELUS World of Science general admission.
This visually appealing , 28 minute documentary is about sustainable beekeeping practices and people who are trying to improve the challenging circumstances honey bees and native bees face in the greater Vancouver area. This documentary offers several practical solutions : utilizing the biodiversity of plants, mass plantings of protein rich flowers; Queen bee organic mating yards and how to fight bee parasites and diseases without chemicals and antibiotics . A humanistic adventure based on the extraordinary realities of the present, this documentary marks the way to sustain the future for generations of people and bees yet to come.
