Event Description

A Global Collaboration Since 1997
Earthdance is the world's largest synchronized music and dance festival for peace. Since its inception, Earthdance has been held annually in over 500 locations in 80 countries with all events simultaneously joining together in the Prayer for Peace – a powerful moment of coherent intention. Each public Earthdance event commits 50% of its profits to a charity that falls into one of the following categories:

* The Welfare of Children and Urban Youth
* Indigenous Peoples and Cultures
* International Relief and Development
* Environmental Sustainability and Protection
* Organizations that Promote Peace

2010’s focus is Embracing All Traditions – recognizing and honoring the diversity of faiths and cultures that make up our human family.

Earthdance Vancouver will include dj's, workshops, info tables, multi-cultural green picnic potluck with biodegradeable disposables and "brown" bin for compostables. There will be a bicycle parade with mobile soundsystems to go to the evening event. The night time features an Indian dinner ($7) and conference that will be webcast live. The dancing will go from 10:30-3:30 and conclude with sonic meditation.

Daytime is a partial fundraiser for Pivot Foundation by donation
Nightime is a partial fundraiser for W2. Tickets are $25/more at the door
