Event Description

Ever wondered how to build your own chicken coop, keep a flock of hens in your back yard and harvest fresh eggs? And all in compliance with Vancouver's chicken bylaw? Learn all the basics and many specifics about keeping backyard chickens in and around Vancouver.

Duncan Martin builds chicken coops locally and delivers Village Vancouver's "Backyard Chickens 101" workshops for prospective chicken owners. Duncan is also an associate with Waterluition, a nation-wide workshop series that looks at the future of fresh water use in various regions of Canada.
